The AI revolution and technological disruptions that are now underway will result in an explosion in demand for AI enhanced products and services (When electricity became available every single piece of equipment and machinery worldwide previously operated manually, was quickly converted to take advantage of the additional benefits/convenience and capabibility of electricity. The same is about to happen again but this time with integration of AI into everything) This along with the technologicl disruptions in 5 foundational sectors, will allow opportunities for AI enhancement of millions of existing products and services and also enable development of millions of totally new products and services in those key sectors and related industries
In addition 2.5 billion underserved and disadvantaged commmunities across the developing world are likely to be connected to internet in the next few years, creating a totally new multi billion person market for digital products and services that can meet their needs. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs) identify the key problems that need to be addressed in the developoing world . Many of the products and services that can help overcome such problems can be built using AI based “no or low code” platforms. This offers AI entrepreneurs numerous opportunities to build lucrative products and services to meet the needs of these under served billions and, in some cases, to make very large fortunes. A list of 170 potential products and services that will be needed and can be built with no or low code platforms is available in the downloads section of the Resource Centre. Some of these products and services are potential goldmine opportunities and those who can be amongst the first to develop such products and services will make their fortunes. This downloadable list of potential lucrative 170 products and services has been made available to all visitors to the website whether members or not in order to illustrate the benefits and the advantages that paid up members will have over AI entrepreneurs who are not members.
The current leadership of IAAD is closely involved in efforts to narrow the Digital Divide, to implement the SDGs and in researching / writing about the impacts of technological disruption. We are therefore far more aware and knowledgeable about the likely AI products and services that will be needed. as the underserved communities come online in different regions of the World. We will be able to share such information and insights with IAAD Members, giving them early warning about the sorts of potentially lucrative products and services that are likely to be needed.
